Professional Experience

Sara joined the Personal Law department as an Associate in November 2022. She is also a Notary Public.

Experienced in dealing with executry administration for both testate and intestate estates, Sara can advise on all aspects of estate administration including filing of tax and court forms, deeds of variation and Inheritance Tax.

Sara’s work covers Powers of Attorney, incapacity issues and Guardianships, Wills, asset and family protection, Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning. Sara has also experience in dealing with residential conveyancing matters.

Sara is personable with clients and is recognised for her ability to explain complex legal matters in a simple way. She understands how daunting it can be to deal with an estate after the loss of a loved one and she receives praises for her empathy and commitment to help families when they are at their most vulnerable. Sara had a close relationship with her grandparents and enjoys working closely with elderly clients.

Sara is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having obtained her STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (Scotland) with Distinction and having received a STEP Worldwide Excellence Award in the STEP Certificate in Taxation of Trusts & Estates (Scotland) for achieving the top distinction score in the 2024 academic year.

As a native Italian, Sara can speak Italian and she is able to assist Italian individuals and businesses.
