Our family law team were delighted to attend the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews for the
annual Family Law Association Conference this past weekend.
The annual conference focuses on sharing legal knowledge and skills. There was an
insightful line-up of speakers this past weekend covering a broad range of topics from
financial provision on divorce and separation to the Hague Convention on child abduction.
The speakers included, but were not limited to, Lady Carmichael who explored how A.I
interacts with the right to a human decision maker. In addition, Jenn Glinski explored the
subject of identifying and responding to economic abuse. It was an excellent weekend to
learn and reflect on how we improve our practice and interact with clients.
We were also treated to the annual black tie dinner on the Friday evening in the ballroom of the Old Course Hotel. We all enjoyed the chance to meet other family law solicitors and advocates.
We are already looking forward to next year!
